A British Design Classic The 1227 Anglepoise Table Lamp, Designed By George Carwardine in 1932.
Used in Great British Institutions Such As The BBC & Ministry Of Defence.
The Lamp During World War 2 Was Made With A Battery Pack To Be Used In Bomber Planes. According To The Anglepoise Website, These Were So Well Produced That When A Crashed Vickers Wellington Bomber Was Salvaged From Loch Ness In Scotland In 1985, The Lamp Still Worked After Being Given A New Battery – Despite Being Submerged For Around Four Decades.
This Version The 1227 Anglepoise Was Made Between 1935 & 1968 By The Company Herbert Terry & Sons.
