1940s Bakelite Sigma tables lamp designed by famous Bauhaus designer Christian Dell For Heinrich Römmler.
These lamps were originally produced by Römmler in Spremberg Germany, but these classic lamps were also being produced in a production plant in the Russian city of Orechowo Sujewo & even in a production plant in Siberia between 1933 before the outbreak of WWII upto 1972. These lamps found infamous fame as they adorned the personal study of the premier of the Soviet Union Josef Stalin. They still have them in the replica studyof Josef Stalin in the museum of political history in St Petersburg.
We picked these up on a recent trip to the Ukraine we found this one in Kiev.
Very good condition completely Bakelite still with its original push & pull switch intact & working perfectly.
